Originally built in 1939, Rosewood Courts is being redeveloped to provide modernized and additional affordable housing units for this important East Austin community. In recognition of the historical significance of this project, Nelsen worked closely with HACA and engaged with residents to ensure the design solutions addressed their long-term needs and wishes. The revitalized Rosewood Courts will preserve eight of the site’s most visible original buildings facing Chicon St while redeveloping the remaining 8.9-acre tract to add 184 modern units, green space, and amenities.
