This project sits at the heart of a new mixed-use neighborhood which is being built around the existing Rebecca Baines Johnson senior apartment tower, originally built in 1970. The completely renovated 16-story tower includes 225 affordable apartments for seniors, and is complemented by a new four- and five-story building which contains an additional 279 apartments. The ground floor of the tower and new building includes retail, food pantry, theater, and other amenities for the senior residents and the surrounding neighbors.
